San Francisco moved into California’s purple Covid-19 tier on November 28. A (limited) curfew has been imposed from November 30 to December 21. This means that outdoor gatherings are not allowed between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. You are still allowed to be outside, alone or with people from your household, and you are still allowed to travel to or from an essential job at these hours. More detail on what is and is not allowed can be found here: https://sf.gov/news/sf-assigned-states-purple-tier-will-roll-back-many-non-essential-activities . With increasing cases and hospitalizations, another order, with additional restrictions, was issued on December 4: https://www.sfdph.org/dph/alerts/files/C19-07-Shelter-in-Place-Health-Order.pdf .
The following site provides detail on restrictions and links to the Department of Health’s Directives: https://www.sfdph.org/dph/alerts/coronavirus.asp . The bottom of this page gives further information and links from the San Francisco Department of Health (DPH) regarding Covid-19.
DPH also has a web page about Covid-19 testing: https://sf.gov/find-out-about-your-covid-19-testing-options . Detail on test sites and hours can be found about halfway down the page. Click on the plus signs (+) for more information. There is only one city-run test site that is open 7 days a week—CityTestSF Embarcadero, at Piers 30/32. This site has both walk-though and drive-through, but it requires an appointment, and could be limited to essential workers, those who feel ill, and those who have been exposed to Covid-19. For others, DPH recommends going to an urgent care site, and has a list of sites on this page.
